Stopping Elder Exploitation 101

Join Montana Securities Commissioner Matt Rosendale, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox, U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme, Department of Health and Human Services, Adult Protective Services, Agency Legal Services, the Montana County Attorney’s Association and the Montana Banking Commissioner for a multidisciplinary primer on how to recognize and refer cases of financial exploitation of seniors.

This event will cover the wide scope of elder exploitation, what various Montana and federal agencies are doing to combat the problem, and what you can do to help. Join us to learn how to recognize and prevent elder exploitation, identify major elements of securities fraud cases, how to address identity theft, what resources are available in Montana, and much more.

*Note: This event is for county attorneys and law enforcement officers. If you are not a member of a county attorneys office or law enforcement agency, please contact Marissa Stockton at marissa.stockton@mt.gov prior to registering. Scholarships to cover travel expenses, hotel, and meals are available for two people from each of Montana’s 56 counties. Contact Marissa with any questions.
