Senior citizens who’ve been scammed out of their money is a growing problem nationwide. Friday at Touchmark Senior Living, the Montana State Auditor’s office held a scam prevention program.
Commissioner of Securities Insurance Montana State Auditor’s Office Matthew Rosendale, said the best way to stop a crime is to keep it from happening in the first place.
“It might not occur to you that someone has taken your personal information, if you are not checking that on a regular basis and you (could) have an enormous amount of debt applied to your good name,” Rosendale added.
