Andrew Posewitz is Helena native, has decades of management experience
HELENA – State Auditor Monica J. Lindeen today announced the appointment of Andrew Posewitz as her Deputy State Auditor.
“I’m excited to have Andrew on board and know he shares my vision of protecting consumers,” said Lindeen. “His private sector leadership experience will benefit our agency and his home state of Montana.”
A fourth generation Montanan, Posewitz grew up in Helena and graduated from Capital High School in 1989. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington.
Posewitz has a wealth of private sector experience. Since 1997, he has held multiple senior management roles with a large, multi-state, company based in Seattle. He has managed high-risk, high-cost accounts for an insurance company in Seattle and served as a member of the governing board for the Washington Assigned Risk Pool for the United States Longshore and Harbor Worker’s Compensation Insurance.
Posewitz and his wife Kelly have two daughters – Madison, 5, and Charlotte, 10 months.
Posewitz replaces Jesse Laslovich, who served as interim Deputy State Auditor since January. Laslovich will remain as Lindeen’s Chief Legal Counsel.
