State Auditor Matt Rosendale issued a crowdfunding certificate for Cowboy Crickets to raise up to $750,000 in the next year.
Rosendale arrived at Cowboy Crickets farm in Belgrade around 9:30 a.m. to take a tour of the facilities. The staff showed him an entire range of crickets all the way from eggs to adults. Rosendale says Montana has many great businesses that can benefit from local funding.
“It expands the economy here in Montana with Montanans and it gives people that are living here the ability to stay right here at home and I think that is a win, win,” said Rosendale.
Marketing Manager James Rolin said he was honored to give Rosendale a tour of the facility. Rolin says that the money that they plan to raise over the next year will be used in order to improve the farm’s technology and will help keep the community involved.
