In 2023, the Montana Legislature passed innovation regulatory waiver legislation (HB 836), commonly referred to as “sandbox waiver.” This act authorizes the Commissioner of Securities and Insurance (CSI) to grant waivers of certain requirements of the Montana Insurance Code for eligible submissions.
